PDO (polydioxanone) threads are slowly absorbing synthetic suture materials. It stimulates elastin, hyaluronic acid, new blood cell formation collagen production in the skin and activates fibroblasts.

Usually, PDO threads have been used for skin rejuvenation, skin tightening and wrinkle reduction. Recent research found that PDO threads also can stimulate hair growth in patients having androgenetic alopecia.

How is PDO threads procedure done ?


PDO procedure is a safe painless non-surgical procedure done by a qualified medical professional.

Patient blood is drawn from the vein in the arm. It is then placed in a centrifugal machine. The centrifugal machine spins the collected blood sample and separates the platelet-rich plasma. After 10 minutes of time in the centrifugal machine, blood will be separated into 3 layers.

Platelet poor plasma, platelet rich plasma and red blood cells. The platelet-rich plasma is then drawn into the syringe, and injected into the scalp where hair growth is not adequate.
